A local option election will be
held on Tuesday, August 19, for
the City of Lancaster.
Anyone who is not registered
or needs to change their
address needs to do so by July
22. No voter transactions can
be processed after that date.
The city precincts are: #1-
A101 Boones Creek located at
the Garrard Middle School, #2-
B101 Gilberts Creek located at
the Garrard County Health
Department, #3-D103 Poor
House located at the Garrard
County High School and #4-
B104 Pleasant Retreat located
at the Garrard County
Extension Office.

Applications for absentee
ballots may be obtained at any
time through the County Clerk’s
Office. The deadline for mailing
an application for absentee ballot
is August 12.
The absentee voting
machine will be available to any
voter who will be outside the
county on election day. This
machine will open on Friday,
July 25, and will remain open
through 4 p.m. on August 18
during business hours of the
clerk’s office.
