Chili Luncheon and Record Keeping Seminar |

The luncheon was attended by 23 people from 18 different businesses and community organizations. The meal consisted of chili and potato soup, as well as sandwiches and assorted desserts. After the meal, Bidwell and Seibert presented their materials on record keeping basics, the importance of utilizing an accountant to check one's records, and a historical context of our current economic climate.

After the seminar, Bidwell said, "The Chamber of Commerce is a great forum to discuss ideas and issues relating to the local business community and I look forward to future opportunities to meet Chamber members who can help me grow my business, share cost saving ideas, and contribute to the growth of our local business community."

The Garrard County Chamber of Commerce will host its next training seminar on Mar. 13 from 9:00am to 11:00am in the Community Room of First Southern National Bank in Lancaster. Kevin Norvell from the Eastern Kentucky University Small Business Development Center will teach business owners the importance and ease of creating your own website uses Microsoft Office Live.
