Two regional hospitals have recognized the growth and potential in Garrard County and have made significant investments in here by opening centers in Lancaster in 2009. Ephraim McDowell has opened Family Medical Centers in North Garrard and in Lancaster, and Pattie A. Clay has opened phase one of a major project on the eastern edge of Lancaster that will host an ambulatory care center within 24 months. Complimenting these centers are the family practitioners that continue to serve the medical needs of Garrard County.
